The PBCN needs the support of groups and individuals who share in our commitment to eradicate breast cancer and to improve the lives of all women afflicted by the disease. The PBCN needs funding for its operations, projects and activities. The PBCN needs friends from all over the country and the entire world in its lonely battle with breast cancer.
The PBCN aims to reconcile the need to ensure the long-term financial health and longevity of the organization with the desire to avoid potentially real or perceived conflicts of interest related to government and corporate giving. Yet with the minimal support it has received, mostly from individuals the past 9 years, the PBCN has done much. Urgently in need of annual donors, kindly reply to be one and help the PBCN to continue its mission.
As we are not yet able to accept online credit card donations, sending us a Peso or US Dollar check will be the best for now. Whatever amount, large or small will be duly acknowledged. So as not to compromise our advocacy, the PBCN does not accept funding from politicians or the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Following are our present financial needs:
Office & Staff budget : US$ 2,200/monthly - 1,300/staff, 300/telecom, 200/travel, 200/rent, 100/supplies, 100/utilities
Tiaong Breast Haven: US$ 500/monthly - 200/staff, 100/utilities, 100/supplies, 100/repairs & maintenance
Project BRCA : US$ 2,000/training - 1,100/B&L, 500/travel, 200/speakers, 100/kits, 100/materials & documentation
But of course, donations in kind are also welcome. We do have specific items that we long to have such as a Norwalk non-centrifugal juicer, a portable power generator, a laptop computer, a sauna heating equipment and a Lymphatic Drainage Device - all for use at the Tiaong Breast Haven.
